Investment Policy Statement Design

The Investment Policy Statement (IPS) provides the framework for the plan's investment selection and subsequent monitoring process.  Without an appropriately designed IPS, it is difficult for a Plan Sponsor to know the criteria to use when selecting, monitoring, and replacing plan investments. This crucial document must be maintained for plan sponsors to provide evidence of a prudent investment selection and monitoring process.  Sachem Advisors designs and manages an IPS for each of our clients. We explain the different components of the document and refer to it when providing investment analysis.
