Our Founder

Sachem Advisors, LLC was founded by Blake Overbay, AIF^® (Mohegan).  Blake began his career in the financial services industry in 1987 as a Registered Representative for Equitable Life Assurance. During his career in the financial services industry, Blake held various positions with life insurance companies and investment banks including New York Life Investment Management and Credit Suisse Securities.  Prior to forming Sachem Advisors, Blake was a the Managing Director of the Tribal Consulting Practice at The (k)larity Group, a finalist for PLAN SPONSOR magazine's prestigious 2011 Plan Advisor Team of the Year award. 

Blake earned the Accredited Investment Fiduciary^® designation from the University of Pittsburgh’s Katz School of Business. ( Read about the Value of Working With an AIF^® ) He also holds a Bachelors degree in Finance, a Master of Science in Real Estate, and the Uniform Investment Advisor Law license (Series 65).  He has authored a number of articles on Tribal retirement plan topics for national publications including Indian Gaming.  Blake, his wife and their three sons live in Alpharetta, GA.
